A single rider in leather armor approached the rebel stronghold. He brazenly approaches whatever seems to the center of command until he is stopped. He flashes a crooked grin at whoever intercepts him. "I hear you all are needin' fightin' men and more importantly, men to lead the fightin' men. That's where I come in. Geryon Tyrikk. Tactical and administrative genius. Any blokes ya put under my command will do more with less than any other men in your army. All I want in exchange is a lordship in the new … whatever it is you're fighting for." A second grin, just a crooked as the first, comes over his face when he finishes making his introductory pitch.

Two guards patrolled as a lone man rode forward. The two stopped the leather clad man, but before they could ask who he was the man introduced himself. The guards exchanged glances and one stepped forward to speak. He opened his mouth, but another voice spoke instead. The voice came from a stout dwarf, with a long, brown beard, extending all the way down to his knees.
"Aye, what we be fightin' fer is tah rid tha land of that shitty man known as King!" The dwarf stepped forward, pushing aside the two guards. He stood in front of Geryon's horse looking up. "We need all tha help we can git. I may not be able tah give ya any land, but I can put a good word in for ya at least. Fer what it's worth." He rubbed his beard, almost grooming it with his stubby fingers. "We could use sum more folk to lead the men inta battle. Whatdaya say, good enough answer?"

A tall, petite elf came quietly making her way through the area, following the same path as a man that had gone in before her. She would occasionally catch glimpses of his back as he turned corners, and assuming he knew where he was going, simply took the same turns. She found herself stopping behind him slightly to his right as he faced two guards. Casting her blue eyes around the area, she took note of any other guards, and then her eyes landed on the dwarf as he stepped forward and explained his cause. Having been planning to join them regardless, his words only served to cement her resolve to formally offer her services. However.... She turned to gaze at the back of the human in front of her, waiting for his response before risking interrupting. Placing a delicate looking hand on her bag, she ran through a quick inventory even though she knew she had just stocked up only hours before.

"Good enough for now, I suppose. Just know I'm a professional here to get paid, not some starry eyed shit who wants to change the world. As long as I get what's coming to me, I'm at your service." He swings down off of his horse, catching a glimpse of the elf woman behind him, giving her a slight nod as he does before turning back to the dwarf before him.
"Didn't catch your name, friend."

The dwarf eyed up the man before him again. Mercenaries. They would be able to help though. Not many left were the best of leaders, maybe the human could help solve that.
"Right, Like I said, I'll do what I can fer ya." The dwarf glanced behind the man as he got off his horse, seeing the elvish woman who had also approached. "Aye, I am Nokung Ironaxe!" The dwarf gave a pound of his chest upon introducing himself. "I be the one in charge here. So yer gonna be answerin' to me now!" Ironaxe let out a big laugh.
He once again looked to the elvish woman. "So who are ya, missy? What can I do fer ya?"

Ondrea returned the nod from the man as he swung off of his horse, remaining quietly towards the back until she was addressed. Taking note of the dwarf's name, she gave a small bow before straightening and speaking. Her voice was light and gentle, but clear, she spoke with purpose and despite her timid appearance did not waver in the face of all of those present.
"I am Ondrea Mistbloom. I hail from lands far from here, and have been traveling the land of Baden for some time helping to heal and aid those in need. When I heard the news of the Rebellion, I came to offer my aid. The land has been in turmoil for far too long, and I will do my part to help."
She touched the bag at her hip lightly, still looking at the dwarf.
"I am skilled in the ways of healing, and in my travels have learned much in the ways of tending to land and crops as well as matters of gold and wealth. I have helped restore many villages to prosperity, and I can aid you and your men in doing the same, if you accept my offer."
She flashed a smile to the mercenary, and then turned it to the dwarf.

Phailak took his sweet ass time getting to the meeting. At least he thought this was the place, he was drunk as usual when it was set. With a huge barrel of ale underneath his left arm, he hailed the man he did recognize. "Yo! Is this the place we said we were meeting so we can kill people?"

Geryon gives a sweeping bow to Ondrea. "Geryon Tyrikk, I hope to never need a healer's services, but its a comfort to know we have a skilled one among our ranks." He flicks a glance over at Nokung Ironaxe. "Assuming, of course, my new employer decides to accept your application to join our little band."
Phailak's arrival brings a chuckle to his lips. "This is the place, good Sir Dwarf! Plenty 'o Imperial bastards to kill, that's for sure. Let me introduce you to the man in charge. This here is Nokung Ironaxe. And this lovely lass is Ondrea Mistbloom, if I caught the name right." He gestures first to the dwarven commander and then the elven woman.
"And allow me to introduce to you the great and mighty Phailak. A true terror on the battle field, an unmatched warrior, a companion of mine, and the first recruit I bring to our cause."

Ironaxe smiled at the elvish woman. "Oh, we're in need of someone with yer skills little lady, it will be good to have ya on board!" As he finished his sentence, yet another approached, this time a fellow dwarf, one much for wild looking than Nokung. After the new comer spoke, he too shared in Geryon's laugh.
"Aye! There be plenty of killin' to be had! Lot's of Imperial soldiers will be comin' yer way. And I see ya brought plenty of ale to celebrate when we're done! Haha!" Nokung wiped a tear that was starting to develop in his eye from his boisterous laughter. "It be good to have ya along mister Phailak, and all of ya really. If ya got any questions, don't ya hesitate to ask."
As he finished speaking, a few other guards came over and whispered something to Nokung and then walked off. Whatever it was did not sway the dwarf's good mood, after all, three new able recruits just showed up at his doorstep.

Phailak raised an eyebrow at the drinking after. He slowly uncorked the barrel and took a long swallow. He said nothing after he wiped his mouth, waiting to be pointed in the right direction.

"Yes, do try to keep from being injured. But in the case that you do, I will come to your aid." Ondrea quipped lightly in return, giving a small curtsy and a large grin back to the mercenary. As the other dwarf came up, she looked to Geryon as he introduced the man. After his introduction, she nodded to him, a glimmer of amusement behind her eyes as she noticed the barrel he carried under his arm. Certainly a feat of strength, to be able to carry something such as that so easily. Her attention was caught slightly by the men that approached, and she casually looked towards them as they did before turning her attention away when she realized they were not there to speak to all of them together. Turning to Ironaxe after they left, she posed the question. "Do you have business to attend to? I'm sure that we could go somewhere and learn some more about each other so you can get back to what you need to."

"A fine idea! I'm sure our new employer has plenty of other things to tend to and I'm also sure there's a tavern nearby somewhere with low company, cheap wine, and good times where we all can get acquainted. Come on, Sir Dwarf," he gestures to Phailak with a lopsided grin, "let's head off and get to know our new comrade in arms."
