Situated in between two rivers, the Silver Keep was to be maintained as a point of defense in the northeastern part of the Duchy of Dramongarde, as its location meant that the attackers beyond the northeast had to ford two rivers under intense arrow fire to be able to reach it. From the time that it was built, artillery were installed at the northern and eastern wings of the fortress ensuring that no one of hostile intent will be able to reach it. But now, more walls were being built in the farther part of the southeastern side of the territory that included this venerable fortress, small fishing and trading villages were being built near both rivers, and more crops were being grown within its vicinity. It had seemed that this area known for defensive measures was being made into a proper city, and the architects who are making things possible are the new rulers of the Silver Keep: the former merchants of the Purple Fox Mercantile Company, now branded as the Commercial and Military Order of the Standard of the Purple Fox.
It was a number of months ago after the current Standard-Bearer of the Order, Anaximander Henderson, participated in the siege of the Golden City. As the reward for his participation, he was handed the control of the Silver Keep and its environs to stand on guard against whatever that remained of the Imperial Forces in the area. As he knew what it entailed, he quickly arrived at the Silver Keep and bolstered its defenses, even patrolling around the area with himself at the head. In one of his patrols, he quickly realized the commercial value of being situated between two rivers, and so he decided on building a new city, applying every precept that his great predecessor, Marcellin van Arouet, had written in his treatises. And so, from its former image as a defensive bastion, it steadily gained an image as an important trade hub within the former Empire.
To meet with the Standard-Bearer of the Order, one had to move towards the location of the Silver Keep proper, which was situated at the northeast of the city that was built of the same name, with its walls and towers shining bright with the sunlight or moonlight, in keeping with its name. Two guards wearing silver armor and dark purple robes are guarding the main entrance of the keep proper: an iron gate overlaid with silver, with each door also bearing a white banner with dark purple borders emblazoned with the image of a fox in a dark purple color.
